DAY 1

Day 1: Exploring Madidi

Transfer to Port & Beni River Navigation

Transfer to Port & Beni River Navigation

Guests will be picked up from their hotel or the airport and transferred to the port of Rurrenabaque. From there, we will navigate the Beni River, enjoying spectacular views, including the impressive Bala Canyon.

Tuichi River Navigation

Tuichi River Navigation

We will continue through Madidi National Park, known for its incredible biodiversity, entering the Tuichi River. This 4–5-hour journey offers a full immersion in the Amazon.

Wabu Trail to Yuruma Refuge

Wabu Trail to Yuruma Refuge

Upon arrival, we'll take a 20-minute walk along the Wabu Trail to reach the Yuruma Journeys Refuge, located next to Lake Santa Rosa. Guests will settle into hanging tents.

Lucachi Trail

Lucachi Trail

In the afternoon, we'll hike for 3 hours along the Lucachi Trail, hoping to spot macaws and the endemic lucachi monkey in their natural habitat. We'll return to the refuge afterward.

Night Walk

Night Walk

After dinner, a guided night walk will be offered to observe wildlife such as insects and tarantulas in their natural environment under the moonlight.

DAY 2

Day 2: Tejon Trail & Cultural Experience

Tejon Trail

After breakfast, we'll begin a 3-hour walk along the Tejón Trail. During the trek, we'll explore the vast tropical rainforest and observe various species of monkeys, such as capuchins and howler monkeys.

Primary Forest

Primary Forest

Along the trail, we'll learn about primary forest trees, some over 300 years old. Valuable species like mara and cedar are considered more precious than gold. Macaws and toucans can also be seen.

Yuruma Refuge & Lunch

Yuruma Refuge & Lunch

After the hike, we'll return to the refuge for lunch at 12:30 pm. There will be time to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings before the next activity.

Fishing in Lake Santa Rosa

Fishing in Lake Santa Rosa

In the afternoon, we'll enjoy Lake Santa Rosa, ideal for fishing piranhas by canoe. Capuchin monkeys and birds such as the serere guan can also be spotted.

Cultural Talk

Cultural Talk

Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm, followed by a cultural talk. Indigenous guides will share local stories and legends, offering a deep insight into Amazonian culture.

DAY 3

Day 3: Return to Rurrenabaque

Sunrise on the Tuichi River

Sunrise on the Tuichi River

We'll start early to witness the sunrise on the Tuichi River, accompanied by the sounds of the Amazon jungle: insects, birds, and mammals. Afterward, we'll return to the refuge for breakfast.

Piwalora Trail

Piwalora Trail

Following breakfast, we'll begin a walk along the Piwalora Trail, learning about local plants used as food and medicine by nearby communities.

Last Lunch at Yuruma Refuge

Last Lunch at Yuruma Refuge

We'll return to the refuge for lunch, with some time to relax before beginning the journey back to Rurrenabaque.

Wabu Trail & Return

Wabu Trail & Return

We'll start our return by walking along the Wabu Trail back to the port, where we'll board the boat. On the way, we'll make one last stop at the Caquiahuara macaw cliff to observe birds, arriving in Rurrenabaque around 5:30 pm.

Upon arrival, guests will be transferred to their hotel, the airport, or the bus terminal, concluding this unforgettable Amazon experience.

Important Notes

This is an adventure tour in a remote area — be prepared for basic facilities and limited connectivity.

The program may vary slightly depending on weather or river conditions.

Electricity is limited at the refuge; charging devices may only be possible at certain times.

Mosquitoes and other insects are part of the jungle environment — bring insect repellent and protective clothing.

Shared bathrooms are available at the campsite; hot water may not be guaranteed.

Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with prior notice.

Respect for nature and local communities is essential during the experience.

Travel insurance is highly recommended, as local coverage is very basic.

Entrance fees to the national park must be paid in cash (Bolivianos) upon arrival.

Terms

Trip Protection: Cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure for a full refund. Any additional charges (bank fees or transaction costs) will be deducted from the refund amount.

Tour Operation: This tour operates rain or shine. In cases of severe weather, the itinerary may be adjusted for safety.

Itinerary Changes: The itinerary may be modified without prior notice due to factors beyond our control. No refunds will be issued for these changes. During the rainy season, certain areas may be inaccessible and alternative visits will be offered.

Travel Insurance: We strongly encourage all passengers to have international travel insurance. Local insurance coverage is limited.

Passenger Responsibility: Travelers must bring appropriate clothing, carry valid identification or documents, and respect scheduled departure and activity times.

Transportation Conditions: Boats or vehicles used may vary in model and condition but will meet basic operational standards. Specific seats are not guaranteed.

Group Size Changes: If more than 50% of the group cancels or reschedules, ON EXPERIENCES may adjust the tour date and/or departure time, with prior notice to passengers.

Flight Delays: While we are not responsible for airline delays, we will assist affected passengers within our operational capacity whenever possible.

Rainy Season Adjustments: If river or trail conditions are unsafe, some overnight accommodations may be relocated for safety. ON EXPERIENCES will provide suitable alternatives when possible.

No Show & Late Cancellations: Cancellations within 24 hours of departure or on the same day are considered No Show and non-refundable.

Airfare Refunds: ON EXPERIENCES does not refund airline tickets under any circumstances, including cancellations, changes, or delays in the tour.

Check-In Time: Passengers must be at our Rurrenabaque office by 10:30 AM on the day of the tour for check-in and departure preparation.

Refund Requests: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to now@onex.travel and will be processed within 10 business days.

Rescheduling Policy: Free rescheduling if requested at least 3 days before the tour. Bs. 50 rescheduling fee for requests made 2 days prior. Same-day rescheduling is subject to No Show policies and availability.
